The origins of Ford's Gourmet Foods are rooted in a fourth generation North Carolina produce company started in 1946 by Connie Mac, Carl and
Granddaddy AJ Ford. Lynn and Sandi Ford joined the family business in 1973 and expanded the business in 1986 by creating "Ford's Fancy Fruits & Gourmet Foods,"(now known at Ford's Gourmet Foods) which sold fruit baskets including NC peanuts, later expanding to open 2 retail stores carrying more than 400 NC gourmet food items from around the State.

Sons Vaughn and Patrick joined the company in 1996. Today the company, still a family business, exports to over 50 countries. Ford's continues to develop gourmet foods concentrating on clean, all natural and gluten free products - Fire Dancers Peanuts, Wine Nuts, Earth Family Foods, The Slop Mop, AleseTois and are the Master Distributor of Bone Suckin' Sauce products.
Ford's Gourmet Foods is announcing a re-launch of Earth Family Foods. The re-launch of this gluten free, all natural and/or organic product line includes several new products as well as a new look to the packaging.
The Earth Family Foods product line already includes Sea Salted Peanuts and Asian Sauce, a teriyaki-inspired sauce for grilling and marinating. The line extensions expand the offering to include several new peanut flavors, cashews, and a brand new collection of dip and seasoning mixes.
"While we love all of the products, I think we are most excited about the dip and seasoning mixes," said Sandi Ford, president of Ford's Gourmet Foods. "Roasted Garlic, Chipotle…seven great flavors that are the perfect tool to help even kitchen novices be successful."
Ford's has a long tradition of creating products. So what makes Earth Family unique? Ms. Ford says that it goes beyond their commitment to creating high quality, great tasting, healthy food. It also allows them to give back. In fact, a portion of every sale of Earth Family Foods products is put toward nutritional education in the United States."
